North Khorasan Province in 1383 with the capital of Bojnourd, the northern cities are Bojnourd, Esfarayen, Shirvan, Jajarom and Samalghan (Ashkhaneh). Area of Northern Khorasan approximately is 28,434 square kilometers and includes 15 cities, 16 section, and 41 villages and has a population of 811572 people.48/35 percent of them lives in urban areas, and 51/06 percent of them lives in rural areas.
