Khorasan South Province

Southern Khorasan Province :

Southern Khorasan was separate from Khorasan province the same as northern Khorasan with legislation of government and parliament in 1383 and the cities of southern Khorasan are:
Birjand, Ghaenat, Dar Miyan, Nehbandan, Sarbisheh, Khusef and Sarayan. This province has 18 districts, 20 cities and 48 villages.
The area of southern Khorasan is 88,404 square kilometersouthern Khorasan has 636 thousand populations in 1385 which 33/51 percent of these people live in urban areas and 44/48 percent live in rural areas.
The climate of southern Khorasan is temperate in winter and hot in summer. The Proximity of province with central desert (Kavir Markazi) of Iran causes hot wheatear and abundant deserts and low water.
